Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Stanley, to whom she was utterly devoted, and is survived by her niece Basia in Poland, and her devoted godson Peter in England. Having survived the Second World War in a slave labour camp in Germany, she came to England, and helped to look after Peter in his first few years of life. Emigrating to Canada in 1957, with her husband Stanley, she helped him build their own home in Tiny.
Maria was fluent in four languages - Polish, Ukrainian, German and English. She was a loving and dedicated friend to many, and a supporter and helper at the Ukrainian Catholic Church, Cawaja Beach, Ontario. She had a joyful life, and had great love and affection for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed!
