On November 30th, 2023, Peter Davie Philpott died peacefully at the age of 71 after a long journey with cancer. Peter was born on August 2, 1952 to Stuart MacGregor Philpott and Marjorie (Davie) Philpott. When he was only one week old, he arrived at the family cottage at Thunder Beach. Peter would go on to spend every summer at his cottage at Thunder Beach where he was always full of life and love, surrounded by friends and family.

Sister Lynn (Philpott) Butler and brother Don Philpott, beloved Uncle Pete to 13 nieces and nephews, their spouses, and their many children.

Peter grew up in Toronto and remained lifelong friends with several of his grade school classmates. He had a natural positive energy and ability to connect with people.

Peter met his wife Joan at The University of Western Ontario, married in August of 1978, and welcomed Heather Lynn and John Stuart in the years after. Peter and Joan had many adventures full of love, travel, and family. In their over 50 years together, their home was always full of dinner table stories, laughter, and song.

Drawing on his 30 years of management experience, Peter would travel the world as a trainer, coach and mentor to his clients, and then return to his piece of paradise with Joan. He was an avid hiker in Arizona and loved sunsets and the outdoors.
