Passed away peacefully at the Villa Care Center in Midland, Ontario on September 23, 2023. The day before he was found rallying back to sing favorite hymns from his Dad's bible, telling jokes and some easy reminiscing with family & friends. Dad had a strong faith, ultimately finding comfort with his Lord and Savior early the next morning.

Carl was born August 13, 1935 in West Tilbury to Reverend Vilas Neuenschwander and Sarah Ann (Pearson). He changed his name to Neuen in 1959.

Carl is predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years Maxine (Max, Mickey), son David and his siblings Floyd, Frances & Leland.

He leaves behind son Daniel Neuen (Lisa) and daughter Lori Neuen (Cheryl). Papa to Bradley (Zerina) Neuen, Danielle (Bryan) McFadden and David (Alyssa) Neuen, his pride and joy. Great Papa to Preston, Tenley, Kiara and Kaliyah Neuen and Millie & Nora McFadden. Carl will be missed by his wonderful companion Viv Mcfarland and her family.

Dad spent half of his career as a butcher and Insurance agent. The other half as an entrepreneur refinishing and selling furniture with his wife in Midland at Neuen's Furniture. Mom and Dad found great joy working along side of each other.

Dad, had a zest for life along with a big adventurous personality. He was not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve, eager to try new things and open to taking chances. He was super encouraging to his family, his laugh was contagious and he lived life fully. He enjoyed the simple life of collecting rare and unusual items wherever he and Max ventured. He treasured camping at Beausoleil Island, boating on Georgian Bay, traveling with friends, campfires and hiking on his acreage in Burks Falls with his family. Carl never passed up the opportunity of enjoying a good steak, a cold beer and hanging out with family and friends at a backyard get together or beach in Ontario or Largo Florida. Dad a zest for life and will be sorely missed. In Carl's words; "We had a good life, it was beautiful and you couldn't beat it with a stick!" – Carl.
