It is with sadness that the family announces that Doug passed away peacefully on April 17th, 2024, in his 92nd year.
Doug leaves behind such a legacy. From teaching high school, to volunteering in the sports world around Penetanguishene. Doug’s presence will be missed around town, especially at the arena. He always made everyone feel welcomed and was always up for a conversation. Doug will be greatly missed by his wife of 68 years, Barb, his sons Bill (the late Helene), George (Suzy) and Roy. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Amanda (Pete), Stephanie, Jamieson (Vanessa), Jennifer (Fraser), Billy (Jody) and his great-grandchildren, Liam and Wren. Doug will also be missed by his extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the GBGH Foundation in Doug’s memory.
