Sally Lynn Morton (nee Dolighan)

June 24, 1939 - January 5, 2024

For the past year, Sally was successfully fighting her battle with cancer until this fall when her cancer fought back and won. Once she found out her prognosis, she decided to live what little time she had left to its fullest by going on mini-vacations with her daughter (Pat) and son (Michael) and visiting her granddaughters (Lauren & Megan) and many family & friends. Bravely, she decided to leave her life on her own terms, looking forward to seeing her beloved husband (Don) once again. She will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends she made throughout her years.

Sally was born in Edmonton. At the age of twelve, her family moved to Toronto. She graduated from Physio and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 1961. After a brief career in that field, she decided to stay home and look after her children. At the age of 45, she decided it was time to pursue a new career path. She went back to Seneca College and started a career in Civil Engineering. In 1996, Sally & Don retired at Cawaja Beach where she has spent the last 27 years golfing, curling, quilting, travelling, and spending time with her family.

Sally felt she has spent the last three months celebrating her life with her family and friends. She appreciated having this time and hearing the beautiful sentiments people expressed to her. In her memory, may we all try to aspire to the level of courage, strength, and bravery she has shown.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research would be appreciated.
