On Monday September 19th, 2022 at 7:14 p.m. Wendy slipped into the next world. As she would want it, her makeup was done, nails painted and she was dressed to the nines. She went with grace and dignity in “Wendy Style” with friends and family surrounding her.
Loving Mother of Amanda and to the daughter of her heart Lili (Libby). Proud Grandma “Gma” of Matthew (Nicole) and Victoria. Wonderful loving Auntie of David (Heather), Kim, Michael (Suzanne), Deidre (Paul) and Kevin (Colette). She will be missed by her great nieces and nephews. Wendy was a loyal and loving friend to many. She was truly a one of a kind person and her friends trusted and loved her very much. They will miss her dearly.
Her generous and compassionate spirit was lived out through her work with the May Court Club of Barrie, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the CLH (Community Living) Foundation.
The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to all of their extended family and friends who provided more support then we could have ever hoped for. As well we wish to give thanks to Dr Queenan, the nurses, staff, volunteers and Walter of Hospice Huronia for their loving and compassionate care.
Our world will be forever changed and her absence will always be felt. Our sorrow is beyond words… Wendy is now reunited with her husband Greg, her sister Penny and her mother Victoria (Vicky).
A Celebration of Life will be held, a date is to be decided. In Wendy’s memory donations can be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Simcoe or the CLH Foundation.
