Edith passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday August 24, 2022 in her 84th year. Loving wife of the late Howard Mateff. Caring mother to Gord, Diane (Richard), Kevin (Wendy), and Keith (Elizabeth). Grandmother to Catherine, Amanda, Allison (Ryan), David, and Claire. Great-grandmother to Ryan, Aurora, Wesley, Juliette and Cameron. Sister to Richard (Irene). Predeceased by her parents Richard and Edith. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A small intimate visitation and funeral service will take place Friday September 2, 2022. Visitation to start at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. Internment at Lakeview Cemetery will follow directly after. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Canadian National Institute for The Blind (CNIB) or to The Friends of The Keewatin. Arrangements entrusted to Nicholls Funeral Home.
