Lorine was born Nov 15, 1946, in Oshawa, Ontario, and is pre-deceased by both of her parents Cecil McGinnis and Joan Fuller. After moving to Midland in the early 1970s Lorine earned her Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University. Specializing in the education of special needs children Lorine worked at many local schools as both a teaching assistant and teacher.

After retiring from teaching in 1996 Lorine started her own online business Olive Tree Genealogy which is now one of the oldest online genealogy companies in the world. The author of over 30 books and numerous publications Lorine was well known and highly regarded in the genealogy community.   In her leisure time Lorine loved Sailing on Georgian Bay. Spending time at the cottage painting and sketching. She was also a passionate collector of antiques and loved haunting antique shops in search of that one of a kind find.

 She is survived by her husband of 25 years Brian Massey of Midland, daughter Judy Tellers (Rainer) of Mt. Brydges, and sons Sean Wilde (Shannon) of Kitchener and Tyler Schulze of Ottawa. Also survived by her grandchildren Ian and Kieran Tellers, Alasdair Murie - Wilde and Lilith Murie - Wilde, Quinn and Shiloh Wilde, and Taylor, Colby, Ryder and Sawyer Schulze. Lorine is also survived by her siblings Larry McGinnis (Bonnie), Charleen Zaleski, and David McGinnis (Margaret). She will also be missed by countless cousins, nieces, and nephews.

 Internment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph, with a memorial service to follow in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to your local animal welfare organization would be greatly appreciated.
