It is with sadness that the family of Lorraine Marchand announce her passing on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at the age of 86. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Bert. She will be forever remembered by her daughters Donna (predeceased Bernie) and Jessica (Lee). She was the loving Memere to Deon (Melissa), Tina (Tom), Mykel, Jordan, Ethan, Liam, Destiny and Judah. Lorraine will be dearly missed by her sister Mary and brother Larry.
Our expressions that best describe a wonderful Mom and Memere: A true homemaker, Lorraine loved nothing more than her family, enjoyed a good book, a cup of tea, cookies and conversation with friends and family, and was overall a very welcoming person.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at Penetanguishene Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Ste. Croix Church in Lafontaine. Reception to follow. If desired, donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
