Pepère de vingt petits-enfants: Camille, Luc, Emma, Louise, Guy, Chantal, Carine, Zacharie, Chris, Jean-Marc, Eric, Evain, Martin, Dominique, Kristina, David, Olivia, Véronique, Jérémie et Vincent. Arrière-pepère de treize petits-enfants: Adrien, Thomas, Tasha, Alex, Caleb, Violet, Liliane, Benoit, Reese, Norah, Nicholas, Summer et Jack. Frère de: feu Joseph, Clair (feue Esther), Jean-Baptiste (Réjeanne), feu Paul, Jacques (Lucille), Cyrille (Anne), Roméo (Micheline), Madeleine (feu Don) et Basile (Irène). Beau-frère de: Lucille Beauchamp (Marc), feu Gabriel Laurin et feu Pauline Fountain (feu Jerry). Prédécédé par ses parents Roméo et Belthilde (Laurin) Marchand. Gabi était un mari dévoué et un père très fier de ses descendants et de leurs accomplissements. Il était un homme de conviction et d'une grande curiosité. Il avait à cœur sa communauté et a été un ardent défenseur de la culture francophone, particulièrement l'éducation catholique. Peu importe ses projets de vie (entrepreneur, agriculteur, politicien, vendeur), il a su maintenir une grande intégrité. Sa grande présence laissera un vide et sa mémoire restera tendrement gravée dans nos cœurs. Étant donné les circonstances, la famille se recueillera à une date ultérieure.

Pepère of 20 grandchildren: Camille, Luc, Emma, Louise, Guy, Chantal, Carine, Zacharie, Chris, Jean-Marc, Eric, Evain, Martin, Dominique, Kristina, David, Olivia, Véronique, Jérémie and Vincent. Great pepère of 13 great grandchildren: Adrien, Thomas, Tasha, Alex, Caleb, Violet, Liliane, Benoit, Reese, Norah, Nicholas, Summer et Jack. Brother of: late Joseph, Clair (late Esther), Jean-Baptiste (Réjeanne), late Paul, Jacques (Lucille), Cyrille (Anne), Roméo (Micheline), Madeleine (late Don) and Basile (Irène). Brother-in-law of: Lucille Beauchamp (Marc), late Gabriel Laurin and late Pauline Fountain (late Jerry) Predeceased by his parents Roméo and Belthilde (Laurin) Marchand 'Gab' 'Gabe' was a man of strong beliefs and convictions. He was especially proud of his family and loved all their visits, their stories and sharing in their accomplishments. He was a community-minded individual who enjoyed lively and insightful discussions. He was a fierce defender of his francophone language and culture. He was an independent, just, sociable and inquisitive man with integrity who was genuinely interested in the people and the events surrounding him. He had an amazing memory of facts and events and was a bit of a 'raconteur'. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace. Due to Covid, a funeral service and a celebration to honour his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Penetanguishene Funeral Home.
