It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father James Clarence Macey who passed on Sunday, January 31st, 2020 with his family by his side. Dad was born in 1945 in Honey Harbour as the youngest son in a large family. He was predeceased by his brothers John, Paul and Oliver and he leaves his loving sisters Freda, Alice and Marie. Growing up on the shores of Georgian Bay fostered his love of fishing and he knew all the secret spots. Dad’s creativity shone through as a self taught musician, master woodworker and all around Jack of all trades.

Always the entertainer and life of the party sharing his gift of music playing at countless local venues. It was through his music that drew the attention of the love of his life Gitta. Married in Jamaica in 1970 they started their  family life in Midland.  Their kids Tammie and Cory are forever grateful for his never ending love, patience and teaching us the true meaning of family. The torch has been passed to carry on your legacy. Loving Poppy to Sydney and Chase. The bond between Mom and Dad was so strong, we find comfort in knowing they are together once again after only being apart for a very short time.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that you raise your glass to this crazy thing we call life. Cheers Dad, until we see you again.
