With heavy hearts, we share the peaceful passing of Erkki Linko at the age of 92 on Thursday, April 18th, 2024.
The beloved husband of Margareta for 33 years, and dear friend for 68 years. Erkki held a special place in the hearts of many, as a stepfather to Jimmy (Eileen), Jason (Julia), and Vanessa (Rob); as well as step-grandfather to Madison, Emily, Tristan, Leander, and Phelan. Uncle to Matti Linko and brother in law to Irja Linko.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Huronia Hospice, or The Canadian Blood Services, in Erkki's memory.
Gratitude is extended to the Georgian Bay Palliative Care Team, Bayshore Home Care, Paramedic, Home and Community Care Support Services North Simcoe Muskoka, Dr. Davenport, Dr. Caron, and Hospice Huronia for their unwavering support and specialized care throughout the past year, particularly in his final days. Your compassion has meant the world to the family.
A celebration of life open house will be held on Saturday April 27th, 2024 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Hurdville Hall (493 Hurdville Road, McKellar, Ontario)
