We are sad to announce the passing of Rita Lawrence (nee Dorion) on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the age of 98.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 51 years, Carman Lawrence. Predeceased parents Alfred and Bernice Dorion. Survived by brother Vernard. Loving mother to Mary Lou Lefeuvre. Cherished grandma to Cindy Hunter, Bob Oliver, Dave Oliver and Frankie Lefeuvre and their families. Great-grandma to Taylor, Falyn, Tanner, Leah, and Bear. Rita will be deeply missed by all extended family and friends.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday February 6th, 2024 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Penetanguishene Funeral Home. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday February 7th, 2024 at St. Ann’s Church starting at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow. Burial will be on Thursday February 8th, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cemetery (3294 St. Paul’s Cres, Barrie).
If desired, donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
