The Captain of our ship has sailed. Soulmate of Susan for 53 years, wife of 44 years and high school sweethearts. Beloved father of Brock (Kyla), Aaron, Justin (Vanessa Tang) and Meredith. Grandfather of Linkin & Callie, Lily, and Liam. Dear brother of Roy (Joan) & Fred (Carol). Will be missed by his nieces & nephews Tammy Brown & Mike Lavin, Sean Lavin & Christy Lavin. A man, a husband, a father, a grandfather & a friend. He was a well respected businessman of 40 years Jim Lavin Electric Ltd. A teacher of apprentices and master of many things. His love of boating, fishing & Present Island. He was just starting the next chapter of life, retirement and being a snowbird. He will be missed & remembered by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jim’s well lived life will be held in the spring. Donations in his memory can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
