It is with profound sadness that the family of Pierre Paul Laurin announces his passing, at the Georgian Bay General Hospital on June 6, 2022, at the age of 80.
He joined his wife Audrey Quesnelle in heaven. He will be dearly missed by his family, including Peter Laurin (Sharon) and Sean Laurin (Andrea), Brenda Quesnelle (Rick Guthrie), Ken Quesnelle (Joanne Todesco), Wayne Quesnelle (Teresa). Pierre was also a much loved Pepere to Justin, Vanessa, Kathleen, Danika, Claire, Gabrielle and Bode. Son of the late Andre and Alfreda (nee Gignac) Laurin, Pierre follows his siblings, Paul and Gertrude into rest. Loving brother to Patrick, Rosemary, Anne, Rita, Germaine and Gerry.
He shared a love of gardening with Audrey, but he was truly known for his quality maple syrup and the joy it brought him to share it with others. He loved spending time with his family and the many road trips him and Audrey took together. We wish to express our extreme gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Georgian Bay General Hospital for their compassionate care during his last days with us.
Visitation will be held at the Penetanguishene Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8th, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret's Church, Midland on Thursday June 9th at 2:30 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment at St. Ann's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
