17-Jan-1952 - 26-Sep-2023

Frank David Laramey, 71 of Victoria Harbour, passed away peacefully in his home on September 26th, 2023 after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Penetanguishene, Ontario on January 17th, 1952 he was the son of the late Hazel (nee Medwayosh) and Nelson Laramey. He grew up “across the bay” on Champlain road and was incredibly proud of his heritage and roots.

Frank was an avid biker, boater who loved and cherished growing up on Georgian Bay. In his retirement he took pride along side of his wife in building a peaceful retreat/his cabin on the beautiful shores of Parry Island Wasauksing First Nation. His latest love was on the road riding his motorcycle along side his lifelong friend Kenny Desjardin.

Throughout his entire journey, Frank cracked jokes with his family, friends, and even strangers and was quite the prankster. He made silly faces with his grandchildren who were often by his side biking, boating, or camping, and liked to pull light-hearted pranks on anyone he loved, often targeting his two daughters or his fur friend Bella. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.

Frank is survived by his loving wife Debbie of 39 years; his daughters Tina Longlade (husband Derek Charlebois) & Shannon Laramey (husband Brady Lafleur); grand children Kaylee Pledge (husband David), Tyler Charlebois; greatgrandchildren Ronan and Raya Pledge; siblings Donna Gillispie (husband Ed), (late) Rick Laramey, Brenda Miron (late Albert), (late) Peter Laramey, Linda bottineau (late Raymond), Tom Laramey, Bob Laramey, Susan Robitaille (late Michael), (late) Steven Laramey, Mary Laramey (Andrew).

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
