With shock and sadness, the family of Marie Ladouceur announce her sudden passing on April 10, 2024, at the age of 72.
Marie was born, raised, and made her home in the Midland-Penetanguishene area, where she was known to many as a woman of generous nature and community spirit. She loved life and a good laugh and was often first in line to help others. Marie survived cancer multiple times, facing every challenge with bravery and tenacity. She enjoyed travelling and was able to visit many of her bucket list places, from New Orleans to New York.
Marie is survived by her daughter Liisa, her siblings Thérèse Klug (Bill), Félix (Joanne), Roger (Susan) and Norman Jr., as well as her partner Bill Fielder, his daughters Sandy, Lori and Trish, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Jeanne Ladouceur and her brother Pierrot (Lyse). She will also be deeply missed by Sharon Hughes, a crew of amazing friends, and so many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren who knew her simply as Tante.
She was her fierce, independent, strong, sassy self until the end, and spent her final moments surrounded by loved ones, who will miss her dearly, and forever. May she rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday May 5 from 2pm to 5pm at Uncle Jimmy's Family Restaurant in Midland.
