Our father and brother Theo “Pa”, our calm and steadfast rock, has left us for his next adventure.

An avid cyclist, sailor, canoeist, walker, camper, boat builder, photographer and poet, Theo has been an inspiration and best friend to his daughter Julie, his siblings including his first birthday present Albert (MaryLou), Frank (Peggy), John (Susan), MaryEllen (John), and Monica. He is predeceased by his wife Victoria, sister Martina (Doug), his brother-in-law Greg, sister-in-law Sandra, brother-in-law Bob, great nephew Sterling, and his parents Jan and Brigitta.

He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, inlaws and outlaws, friends and cousins, and well-wishers around town that he met on his daily walks and bike rides. A special thanks to his friends at the Ship’s Company of Penetanguishene with whom he enjoyed twice weekly sailing trips and camaraderie.

He is now free to sail wherever and whenever he wants, though he will be deeply missed by all of us whom he’s left behind.

Donations to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre would be appreciated in his memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future time.

Memorial condolences may be made at www.nichollsfuneral.ca

Sail on, dad.
