With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Betty Hawke on Thursday, April 11, 2024 surrounded by loving family.
Betty is the loving mother to Michael (predeceased Kimberly) Hawke, Elizabeth (Peter) MacLeod, Vivian (Richard) Ignas, Gord Hawke (Patti French), Peter Hawke (Nancy Ferguson), and Gregory (Sara) Hawke. Beloved grandma to Tonya, Laura, David, Lucas, and Matthew. Great grandma to Autumn, Harmony, Eden and Austin. Betty is predeceased by her cherished husband Orval Hawke, her parents Lillian and Gilbert Eggleton, and siblings Richard (Priscilla) Eggleton, and Margaret Crawford-Preston (Len). She will be dearly missed by all extended family and friends.
Friends will be received at Nicholls Funeral Home for a visitation on Monday, April 15th, 2024 from times 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. a funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at St. Mark’s Anglican Lutheran Church (307 Third St. Midland) starting at 2 p.m. A reception to follow. Interment will take place at later date. If desired, donations in memory of Betty may be made to Alzheimer Society.
