It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura Hammond on Monday May 20, 2024, at the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland.
The eldest daughter of the late Sean and Joan Kinnear. Laura was predeceased by her husband Tim Hammond. She was the proud and loving mother of Kelsey (Jake Brideau) and Brittany (Dylan Campbell) and cherished “Bama” of Lincoln.
She will be deeply missed by her sister Debbie (Glenn) Cherry, brother Stephen (Krista) Kinnear, her lifelong best friend Kim and dear friend Laura. She will be remembered by her brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Also missing her are her loyal canine companions Storm and Danika.
Laura spent her life helping others, as a health care worker she devoted herself to her clients and provided kindness and care to anyone in need. Her family were the main beneficiaries of her love and generosity, she always put others first and worked hard to provide for those she loved. She had a gentle smile, and a great sense of humour that left an indelible imprint on the lives of everyone she knew. Her true joy came from the moments she shared with her daughters and grandson. She has left them with a legacy of love, strength, and laughter.
A graveside service will be held at Ebeneezer Cemetery, 4250 Conc. 12 Sunnidale, Clearview at 1 p.m. on Thursday May 30, 2024.
