We are sad that our Superman Donald Hallman passed away on March 5, 2024, just days before his 93rd birthday.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Lois Jean (Thacker) whom he adored, his furry pup Missy, his children Donna and Murray Zink, Jamie and Michelle Hallman, Janice and Robert Phillips, Todd and Renée Hallman, and his eleven grandchildren whom he was so proud of: Aaron, Regan, Mitchell, Leighton, Davis, Kendra, Jack, Noah, Tristan, Taylor, and Jillian. Predeceased by his parents Olive (Hertel) and Leighton Hallman. After a long career with Bell Telephone in Waterloo, Don moved to his childhood stomping grounds on Georgian Bay.
He loved his hand-crafted home and was most happy sitting on the deck enjoying the bay with family and friends. He was a master craftsman building custom cabinetry, restoring antiques, and creating stained glass art. No matter what life threw at him, Don was tough and always came back better than ever. He is our hero and is loved beyond measure.
