HAIGHT, Diane Frances (nee Corcoran)

Passed away suddenly after surgery on Thursday February 15th, 2024, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket.

Diane, loving wife and best friend of Doug Haight, was in her 70th year.

Diane is survived by her stepsons Dan Haight (Maureen) and Daren Haight (Lisa) and is the proud Gramma of Shannon (Rami), Sara (Zach), Katie, Jennifer (Charlie), Emalee, Jenna, as well as 4 great grandchildren Zayd, Jackson, Delilah and Georgia. Diane was excited about the impending arrival of 2 more great granddaughters this year.

Diane leaves behind her brothers Doug (Laura), and David (Sharon), and is the proud aunt of Paul (Cheyenne) and Kevin. She also was eagerly anticipating the arrival of a great niece in April.

A cherished niece, Diane will be forever missed by her Uncle Marty Corcoran and all her cousins. Diane shared a special sisterly bond with her cousins Wendy Gattozzi and Joyce Murray and will live on in their hearts forever.

She is predeceased by her parents Harold and Evelyn Corcoran (nee Waring), also by her grandparents and many beloved aunts and uncles.

Diane was born in Toronto on September 24, 1954. After completing high school, Diane attended Nursing School and started her lifelong career of caring for others. She worked in Penetang and later in Toronto with the Public Health Department. Eventually she returned to Penetang as a Public Health Nurse and began caring for people in their homes. Following retirement, she continued her service to others by taking care of family and most recently volunteering at Hospice Huronia –Tomkins House with Vickie and Gay, who will miss her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will graciously be accepted by Hospice Huronia – Tomkins House through LeClair Cremation Centre in Midland.

Cremation has taken place; a Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held Saturday April 13th, 2024 at the Quality Inn and Conference Centre - Midland, Ontario Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm.

Interment will follow later in Brantford, Ontario.
