December 22, 1952 ~ March 24, 2021 (age 68)
It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of George “Jody” Edward Grimshaw, taken from us suddenly at the age of 68, on March 24, 2021 at the Parry Sound Hospital with family members by his side. Jody was a loving and devoted husband to his wife of 41 years, Lynda (nee Stephenson). Devoted father to Ryan (Karly).
He is now reunited with his parents Marvin and Edna (Teddy) Grimshaw. Loving brother to Coy (Robert Tyndall). Dear brother-in-law of the late David Stephenson and Lizabeth, Shelley and Greg Marchildon, Janis and Darren Pender. Loving uncle to Matthew, Sarah, Michael, Kyle, and Gillian. Loving great uncle to Braelyn, Carter, Finnley and Blakely. Jody was very proud of his son and talked about him often. If you knew Jody, you knew you had a friend for life. Jody was so much more then a small town barber. He was your confident, your biggest fan, and someone you could always count on when you needed help.
Jody had the biggest heart, funniest sense of humour, and the most incredible magnetic personality. His energy and presence will be extremely missed by all those whose lives he touched. He was such a kind, caring, quick witted loyal friend. Jody will be remembered for his warm welcomes and funny stories to elicit smiles and laughter from all. If desired memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Society would be appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
