It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother at the age of 79. With family by her side and deep in her heart, she passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Beloved wife of the late Anthony Foley (2008). Mother to Michelle Loney (Brian) of Midland, and Michael Foley (Phoebe) of Victoria Harbour. Grandmother (G-ma) to Danielle Loney (Michael) of Oshawa, Megan, and Gavin Foley of Victoria Harbour. Survived by her brother James Airlie (Margaret) of British Columbia and sister-in-law Rosemary Airlie of Toronto, sister-in-law Patricia Foley (Scotland) brother-in-law Christopher Foley (Susan) of Midland.
Predeceased by her sister Alice Warwick (Gordon) of Scotland, sister May Dowd (James) of Toronto, brother Andrew Airlie of Toronto, and brother-in-law Peter Foley (Scotland) Deeply loved and cherished by many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends. A dedicated civil servant of the Ministry of Tourism at Ste Marie Amongst the Hurons for 27 years, she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of life and open house will take place at Nicholls Funeral Home (330 Midland Ave. Midland Ontario) on Saturday, January 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Vincent de Paul Midland or the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, please.
