It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Melissa Edwards at her home on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the age of 46. Melissa leaves behind her devoted husband of ten years, Gary Edwards. She also leaves behind her children Seth and Jaide and will be lovingly missed by Sebastian Edwards (Grace), Ashley Edwards (Emerson) and Katie Edwards-Konkle (Justin). A Nanny to Monica, Nevaeh, Mason and Jaxson. Melissa will be dearly missed by her parents Henry (Wally) and Shirley Jackson as well as her siblings Shannon (Brenda), Charity (Paul) and Krystle (Andrew). She will be fondly remembered by her nephews Anthoine, Sebastien, Liahm, Anthony, Nikolas, Alex and Austin. Her furbabies, especially Lexi, will greatly miss their Mommy. She will be warmly remembered by all of her extended family and friends.
As per Melissa’s wishes there will be no wake service. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, starting at 1p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church (Christian Island). Cremation to follow. Attending family and friends are welcome to attend the reception at the Recreation Centre following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Niijii Fund.
