With appreciation for the love she gave and showed us, it is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our loving Mother, Agnes Dupuis in her 99th year. Our hearts are heavy and it’s difficult to describe what she meant to us and how much we loved her.

Agnes is survived by her daughter Sheila and her son Michael. She was cherished by her son-in-law Terry Katsuyama and daughter-in-law Anna Kras-Dupuis. Beloved Grandmother of Kyle (Brandie), Andrea (Liam), Ryan (Meghan), Elizabeth (Sergio), Tara (Uche), and Nicole (James). Great Grandmother of 7 with one to come.
Although greatly saddened by our loss, we are also deeply grateful that Agnes is at rest with her beloved Quigley family as the youngest and last surviving member. She is predeceased by Ambrose Dupuis and companion Don Mcrae.

Agnes retired after 42 years in Obstetrics at the Penetanguishene Hospital. Her life was filled with family and friends, world travel, and varied active sports. After she stopped curling at the age of 80, her passion became lawn bowling until she was 90. Alley bowling was a struggle physically for years but she enjoyed the company of her Teammates.

She passed away quietly with the same grace with which she lived a long and productive life. Agnes was always stylishly dressed and impeccably made up. A tired young colleague coming in on days asked Mom how she always looked so good at the end of her night shift. Mom replied, “that she worked at it”. Mom enjoyed hearing how good she looked. It brought her happiness and never stopped with her makeup or her hair appointments. We were all disappointed for her if the hairdresser was closed down. Agnes liked the phrase “It’s the feathers that made the bird”.
Mom was the epitome of a loving and caring Mother. She woke us up, cooked breakfast then sent us off to school and she also put us to bed. We never realized for years that she worked nights as she was always there for us. She loved company and welcomed everybody. Her table was always beautifully set and she served delicious meals to all who came.

Our family would like to thank the Staff at Georgian Manor, especially the team on Silver Birch for the care, affection, and respect she received over the years and Dr. Olisa for his caring medical treatment. Even as her health was declining, she was appreciative of the kindness and dignified respectful care from all the Staff.
We respectfully decline flowers. One of Mom’s greatest pleasures was to go for a ride on the Manor bus. If so inclined there is a campaign to buy a new bus. Online donations may be made at Georgian Manor/Village – Bus Campaign or by cheque to 101 Thompson Road, Penetanguishene, ON, L9M 0V3 in Agnes’ memory.

Those we love we never lose,
     For always they will be,
Loved, remembered, treasured,
     Always in our memory.
