Peacefully passed away at Hospice Huronia-Tomkins House on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Willis Copegog. Loving mother of Germaine, Blaine “Boris”, Tina (late Sheldon), Martin (Theresa), Perry, Archie (Myrna), Deanna (Douglas), Aaron (late Nancy), Rhonda, Rob (Karen) and predeceased by her children Jerome, Norma “Morna” (Vince), Byron “Coco” and Barron. Cherished grandmother of 25 and great-grandmother of 44 and great-great-grandmother of 16. Will be missed by her sister-in-law, Velma. Predeceased by her siblings, Manley Smith (Rena), Bennett Smith, Lousie Kidd, Minnie Smith, Cecile Copegog (Clinton), and Leona McCue. Hazel will be fondly remembered by her furry friend Bella, extended family, community and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Huronia would be appreciated.
Friends and family will be received at the Christian Island Rec Centre on Friday, July 14, 2023 starting at 12:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
