Joyce Marguerite Burton passed away peacefully on August 25, 2023, at McGarrell Place in London, Ontario, at the age of 93. Known for her kindness and wonderful sense of humor, Joyce was deeply devoted to her family, always cherishing time spent together.

Born in England, Joyce immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her first husband, Peter Coffin, and their young daughter, Lesley. Over the years, she came to consider Canada as the place where her heart truly found its home, especially in Midland and Penetanguishene. Her most treasured place was always Georgian Bay.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Coffin, in 1976 and her second husband, Stan Burton, in 1994.

Joyce is survived by her loving daughter, Lesley Jane Quesnelle (Coffin), and son-in-law Peter Pownall of London, Ontario. She was the adored grandmother, affectionately known as "Nanny," to Justin Peter Quesnelle (Ashley Morrow) and Vanessa Jane Quesnelle (Martin Dockery). She was the cherished great-grandmother of Elliadora Quesnelle Dockery and Huxley Hugh Quesnelle.

She is also survived by her dear sister, Dorothy May Anderson (Alan Anderson), and was a devoted aunt to Jane Sarah, Paul, and Mark Anderson. She was predeceased by her sister Olive Horvath, as well as her parents, Maud and Frank Fisher.

The family will host a small Celebration of Life in the Georgian Bay area in the near future and will reach out to friends and loved ones at that time to share details.

Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family devotion.
