With his family by his side and in the comfort of his home, Celestin “Pete” BIDAN passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in his 85th year. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Anita (nee Bottineau), his children Kathy Maurice (Armand), Randy (Kim), Chris (Julie) his five grandchildren Adam (Alanna), Megan (Steve), Scott (Erin), Katrina, Samantha and his five great-grandchildren Bethany, Ryan, Eli, Kaleb and Jack.
He is predeceased by his grandson Bradly, his parents Alfred and Marie (nee Ladouceur) and brothers Fred, George, Bill, Alan and Marcel. He enjoyed a close relationship with his only surviving sibling Frank (Francis) of Whitby Ontario until the end. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
As founder of Huronia Animal Control over 45 years ago, his love of animals led to a dedicated career serving his community by providing professional animal control services.
Pete loved to fish, play cards and sit on his front porch overlooking his favourite place on
earth – MacAvalley. He loved his family dearly, all of whom will miss him beyond words.
Cremation has occurred. There will be a Funeral Mass on Saturday December 3rd, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 28 Robert Street W., Penetanguishene. Interment to follow in the spring.
Memorial donations can be made to Hospice Huronia – Tomkins House Penetanguishene if desired.
