It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing, at Tomkins House, after a short illness, of Ron Bianco on March 30th, 2024 at the age of 76. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend Christine, after 53 years of marriage. Lovingly remembered by his sons Rob (Su), and Rick (Colleen) and by his granddaughter Sarah Bianco. Also survived by his sisters Patsy (Mike), Brenda (Greg) and brother David.

Ron was a fan of all sports, loved watching his sons play hockey and lacrosse, but especially he was an avid baseball player. He played hardball, softball, slo-pitch and senior slo-pitch for the Huronia Grey Jays which he sadly had to give up when his knees finally gave out after years of running the bases. “No pinch-runner for him!” he said.

A special thanks to friends Jennifer, Shawna and Amy for their help and support, to the palliative team and the wonderful nurses at Tomkins House who helped Ron through his last weeks and hours.

If you wish, donations in Ron’s name may be made to Hospice Huronia, Tomkins House.

Arrangements have been entrusted to LeClair Cremation Centre, and messages of condolences may be left on their website. As requested by the deceased there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held this summer.
