It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Romyk (Ron) Bednarz in his 72nd year. Ron passed away peacefully on December 26th at the Georgian Bay General Hospital with his family by his side.
Ron will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years Catherine Bednarz (nee St. Amant), his son Jason Bednarz (Jaime), daughter Michelle Bednarz (Gabe), his grandchildren Hannah Charlebois, Logan Bednarz and Madison Bednarz. As well as his brothers Henry Bednarz (Joyce) and Stanley Bednarz (Sally) along with his many nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his parents Stanislaus (Stanley) Bednarz and Zofia Bednarz (nee Kaczmar) as well as his brother Eugene Bednarz.
Ron was quiet, had a great love for his family, a great sense of humor and enjoyed his vegetable garden.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at GBGH for the great care Ron received during this very difficult time. A special thank you to Dr. Gannon for being so caring and compassionate.
Memorial donations can be made to GBGH, the MS society or the charity of choice.
There will be no funeral service as per Ron’s request and a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
