With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Aileen Bartlett on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Georgian Bay General Hospital in her 85th year. Dorothy was comforted with four generations at her bedside at the time of her passing. She leaves behind her loving husband of 65 years, George Bartlett. Dear mother of Steve Bartlett (Gwen). Grandmother of Chrystal, Robert (Rose) and Michael (Lacey). Great grandmother of Sophia, Maslyn, Christian, Taelor, Teaghan, Mackenzie, Adelaide and Ava. Dorothy will be fondly remembered by her siblings; Robert Dalton (Marilyn) and Rosemary Hawke. Predeceased by her brother John and sister Ann. Dorothy was a life member of the Midland Bay Sailing Club where she and George spent many years sailing around the North Channel and Georgian Bay. She was a member of Askennonia Senior Centre and the Canadian Cancer Support Centre. She will be missed by her “No Name” Book Club. Cremation has taken place. Donations in Dorothy’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
Memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 308 King Street Midland, on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., with reception to follow. Family will receive guests prior to service between 1:00-2:00 p.m. Masks may be required indoors. www.arbormemorial.ca
