It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our father; Gordon Wilfred Armsworthy on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Georgian Bay General Hospital. He passed away peacefully in his 92nd year and has now gone to be with his beloved wife Loretta (nee Lalonde) of 63 years.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his son Wayne (Kim), daughter Doreen Bridcut (Steve); grandchildren: Chantelle Giffen (Sam); Ashley Baillie (Adam), Brock Williams, Cole Williams (Jenny) and his great grandchildren: Reid, Blair, Dean and Jack.
He is survived by his sisters Vera Lynds, Sheila Lynds and Ramona Smith along with his in-laws John Lalonde, Pat Lalonde, Lucille Lesperance, Elaine Slater, Annette Tippett, Margaret Courts, Maryann Girardeau, Eddie Lalonde and many special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Penetanguishene Funeral Home. 155 Main St, Penetanguishene, ON followed by interment at St. Ann Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers; Memorial Donations may be made in Gordon’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or your charity of choice.
