July 19, 1940 – April 27, 2023

Frank passed away surrounded by what he valued most in life – peace, love and laughter, at Tomkins House in Penetanguishene, ON. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 years Sue; daughter Kelly (Bill); his little shadow, grandson Sean; Brother John (Elaine); lifelong friend, Neil McClelland (Elaine); as well as his extended family and many dear friends.

Although it's with sadness that we announce Frank's passing, we take comfort in celebrating a life lived to the fullest. His “Don't quit, you just don't quit” attitude allowed him to achieve anything he put his mind to. He was loyal, understanding, stoic, had a great sense of humour and was a very, very patient man. All qualities needed as a die-hard Leafs Fan! Frank's love for sports and excitement was only surpassed by his love of a good meal, great conversation, warped humour and anything to do with nature.

Frank's selflessness is best illustrated by his decision to take part in a research study at Princess Margaret Hospital shortly after completing his own extensive treatments. He believed he would be helping someone someday, so that made the decision to participate easy for him. Much gratitude is extended to his many medical teams at TGH, PMH and RVH for their superior expertise, compassion and care.

Frank's family would like to extend an extra special thank you to his local village - Erin and all the Bayshore nurses, his NP Lisa, Dr O'Connell and the unbelievable staff at Hospice Huronia – Tomkins House for treating him like one of their own.

A Celebration of Life is to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Frank's passion for barrier-free access to sport and extracurricular activities for youth, by donating to We Are The Villagers – Midland (watvnew.com).
