CLH Foundation’s 2nd annual “stroll-or-roll” Walk This Way event raised more than $25,000 for its “Commitment to Care” initiative, thanks to tremendous support from local business supporters and more than 80 walkers, rollers and strollers who took part in a recent Sunday morning fundraising walk at Penetanguishene’s beautiful Rotary Champlain Wendat Park.

CLH Foundation’s “Commitment to Care” initiative fully underwrites the cost of essential and unfunded medical needs and personal health expenses for adults who live in CLH Supported Living Homes. Walk This Way for CLH also helps to build awareness of the work of CLH Developmental Support Services – an organization which has served people with developmental disabilities for more than 60 years in North Simcoe.

Organizers are thrilled with the results: “CLH Foundation is so grateful to our business supporters, participants, volunteers, and community for supporting our walk once again, and for their shared belief in the value of our “Commitment to Care”,” says CLH Foundation Board President Sarah Kitchen. The event is set to return in 2024.
