Seniors' disc golf group makes clean sweep of Little Lake Park

Sixty and Hyzer members took time before weekly league play to clean up beloved Midland park

Little Lake Park recently got a cleanup thanks to local seniors’ disc golf club, Sixty and Hyzer.

The group of about 25 disc golfers, who are 60 years of age and older, got together before their regular Thursday morning league play to make the park a better place to visit.

Member Dan Gilbert said the course in Little Lake Park provides a great opportunity for everyone since it’s a beautiful 5.5-kilometre walk if one completes all 29 holes.

“We strongly believe that this sport is a fabulous recreational activity for our group, and, actually, anyone,” Gilbert said.

“Our group is always interested in any activity to promote and grow our sport and we love playing, and playing host to out-of-towners at our Midland course."
