A popular Midland Cultural Centre series explores a hot topic for those who enjoy Georgian Bay.

Gordon Walker, a former provincial cabinet minister and long-time political activist, will delve into Georgian Bay water levels during a special A Day in the Life presentation.

The talk should be of interest to anyone concerned about rising and/or falling water levels.

“There are many factors that affect water level changes including inflow and outflow, precipitation and evaporation, runoff and the impact of water control structures,” the cultural centre noted.

“And our next guest on A Day in the Life can speak knowledgeably about all these influences.”

Walker is also former chair of the International Joint Commission, which oversees the waterways along the Canada-USA Border.

He also has a special interest in the rising and falling water levels of Georgian Bay, since he is a cottager in the Cognashene area.

This edition of A Day in the Life is now available on demand.
