Stephen Leacock Associates (the Leacock Medal for Humour) are pleased to announce the Leacock Student Humorous Essay Competition of 2024.
This competition (which closes on April 15, 2024) is open to Ontario students between 14 and 19 for humorous stories or personal memoirs. Thanks to our sponsor, Dunkley Charitable Foundation, we are able to offer a $1,500 first prize, and two runner-up prizes of $750.
Winners will be announced on May 15, 2024, and will be honoured at a Meet the Authors and Student Showcase event on June 21, 2024 in Orillia.
Entrants may be attending public, separate, private or home school systems in Ontario.
