Community Reach is receiving a $ 1,224 Smart and Caring grant through the Huronia Community Foundation.
The funding, which comes from the foundation’s HCF Community Fund and General Mills Canada Community Fund, will assist Community Reach North Simcoe and their transportation program.
"These funds will be spent on much needed tires and a spray washer for our accessible vehicles,” Community Reach executive director Cathy Greer said.
“With this help we can continue to provide door-to-door transportation to our vulnerable population who need to get to their medical appointments and treatments, grocery shopping, other community services and social activities. This helps support a physically and emotionally healthy community."
