The Midland Cultural Centre has some family-friendly activities planned over the coming weeks.

With support from the Midland Rotary Club, the schedule of shows include captivating storytelling to interactive poetry readings and enchanting puppetry.

Following a nearly sold-out show with Fireside Munsch last month, the MCC family shows continue with  Catch Me in The Kitchen Story Adventures on April 20.

Attendees will be able to join Canadian storytellers Ginette Mohr and Stephen LaFrenie as they bring two reimagined classic tales to life. Audiences will be enchanted by delightful characters and surprising twists in this blend of storytelling and physical theatre.

Next up on May 4, is Holy Guacamole, it’s a Poetry Show.

This show invites attendees to step into the magical world of words with award-winning musician Brendan McLeod.

From songs about planets and pets to silly haikus and poems about everything under the sun, this exciting journey will tickle your ears and spark your imagination. Get ready to laugh, sing and learn with Brendan McLeod's kinetic feast of words and song.

Then the following Saturday, families can enjoy a magical journey with DuffleBag Theatre’s interpretation of Peter Pan.

Watch as Wendy Darling is whisked away to Neverland by an adventurous young boy, encountering magic pixies, charming  pirates and talking trees along the way. This fun adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s beloved classic will even have grownups feeling like kids again.

And then on June 15, Be Pozzy by Rock the Arts Puppets takes attendees into the enchanting world of Creatureville. This vibrant and uplifting puppet show is filled with whimsical characters and heartwarming tales and promises to capture the hearts of audiences, both young and old.
