Do you have interesting stories to tell about the places, people and events that have shaped the Heart of Georgian Bay area?  The Culture Alliance wants to hear them.

To enhance and expand their cultural asset mapping project, the Culture Alliance is launching the Do You Remember When? project. Eight participants from each Beausoleil First Nation, the Towns of Midland and Penetanguishene and the Townships of Tay and Tiny will be selected to be interviewed and video-recorded.

“It is important that we capture and preserve the stories of the history, heritage and culture of the area,” said Cindy Hastings, committee chair and Tiny Township councillor.

“And we look forward to hearing local voices share their experiences of living, working and volunteering in our communities.”

Those interested in being considered for this project are invited to submit their interest by January 3, 2022 through the application form that is available at https://www.culturealliance.ca/culturalassets. Selected participants will be contacted by mid-January with more details.

The Culture Alliance was formed in 2019 as a joint culture committee serving the communities of Beausoleil First Nation, Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay and Tiny.
