Centre de santé communautaire Chigamik Community Health Centre (CSC Chigamik CHC) is pleased to announce its renewed four-year accreditation from the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA), reaffirming its commitment to the community and its pursuit of excellence in delivering programs and services.

“This CCA accreditation marks a significant achievement. It demonstrates to our stakeholders that we’ve completed thorough assessments, both internally and externally, in accordance with industry benchmarks,” said Deborah Laramey, CSC Chigamik CHC board president. “It represents a significant milestone for us.”

Accreditation is a process that provides assurance from a respected third party that the accredited organization meets commonly accepted standards for good governance, management, and excellence in service provision.

“One of the key benefits of participating in CCA’s accreditation program is that it promotes an ongoing culture of learning and quality improvement throughout the organization,” says Barbara Wiktorowicz, executive director, Canadian Centre for Accreditation. “CSC Chigamik CHC’s commitment to a client-centred approach was evident throughout the accreditation process. The on-site review team was impressed by the dedication and drive of staff to meet clients’ needs.”

“We recognize the importance of ongoing transparency, quality enhancement, and the adoption of evidence-based best practices, and we are very proud of our staff’s commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality programs and services to our community,” said Suzanne Marchand, executive director, CSC Chigamik CHC. “This accreditation not only validates our operational excellence but also underscores our commitment to effective business management and community governance. With increasing pressure for public accountability, participation in the accreditation process promotes a quality and safety culture across the organization.”
