An important program offered at the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre has received a financial boost.

The centre received a $1,750 Smart and Caring grant from the Huronia Community Foundation’s Helen Dubeau Family Fund and Leah P. Gignac Endowment Fund.

The money will go toward the Soup for the Soul Again program.

“Members can learn, cook and socialize together. The monthly session enhances their mental and physical well-being,” said Paul Eichhorn, manager of fundraising and outreach at the centre.
