'Brave' polar bear dippers in Tiny raise $6,000 for dog guides

More than 70 run into frigid Georgian Bay Waters at Balm Beach during Tiny Township Lions Club’s annual polar bear dip

More than 70 brave souls jumped into frigid Georgian Bay New Year’s Day for a worthy cause.

The Tiny Township Lions Club’s annual polar bear dip at Balm Beach raised close to $6,000 in support of the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.

Among the dippers were Tiny Mayor David Evans along with one person from Greenland and a couple from Saskatchewan.
