Askennonia Senior Centre hosts a walk-in vaccination clinic for COVID and flu shots this Wednesday.

The clinic, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is being held in conjunction with Arcade & Jory Guardian Pharmacy.

Those attending clinics will need their health card along with the date of their last vaccination. Ages 12 and over are eligible for the COVID booster.

Ages two and up can receive the flu shot, but this may not be the ideal location for little ones, as they typically take extra time. There isn't any more more high-dose flu vaccine available this year, so regular will be given.

As well, there are two other COVID vaccination clinics slated for the area this week.

On Thursday, the health unit has a pop-up clinic at the Waubaushene Branch Library from noon to 5 p.m. and the GO-VAXX Bus will be at the North Simcoe Sports Recreation Centre Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Appointments for the GO-VAXX bus and mobile clinics may also be booked up to four days prior to the clinic through the COVID-19 vaccination portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900.
