LETTER: The last thing we need is more access to alcohol

MidlandToday received the following letter criticizing the provincial government's plans to increase access to alcohol products.

I read with dismay that the Government of Ontario is willing to fork over $225 million of our taxpayer dollars to increase access to alcohol products, known to be a significant factor causing many chronic diseases including cancer.

Surely our money would be better spent addressing the health-care crisis instead of adding to it.
