MidlandToday welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected]. Please include your daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). This letter is in response to story titled 'Video shows police kneeing man during arrest in Midland,' published Feb. 4.

Why do you call it 'police brutality' if someone committed a crime and is resisting arrest?

When you respect the police, let them do their job and they don’t have to use any force.

So many criminals are walking free because of our weak justice system. Sure, there could be some exceptions.

Police officers are human, too, and most of the time they are scared for their lives.

So many officers have lost their lives and children have lost their parents.

Respect the law, that’s the way I see it.

Best regards,
