Dear Editor,

I've noticed that construction has started at the Midland waterfront where fishermen enjoy trying their luck.

It seems the town is going ahead with their plans for the waterfront with no further discussion or notice of start-up.

I for one do not agree with the plans, although I haven't seen or heard of any changes to the original plan.

It's a crime to have this waterfront built up with retail and condos for the rich.

It should be parkland from one end (where the construction has started) to downtown King Street.

Look at the Penetanguishene waterfront.

The Rotary group has done an excellent job preserving public land so all can use it. Midland unfortunately doesn't have the long term view.

Sad.
