The current provincial government seems determined to ignore the majority of Ontarians. They seem to have had an agenda they refused to discuss before the election (which I suggested in a previous letter was a reason not to vote for them). I had hoped and opined in yet another letter after the election that they had won and that if the government were acting on the wishes of 'all' Ontarians that it would be good to work with them.

It is clear, though, that the Ford government has no interest in paying attention to the will of the majority of Ontarians but instead to taking advantage of the vagaries of our 'first-past-the-post' electoral system to ram through an agenda that in no way represents a general consensus and is in fact very clear about their notion (paraphrasing a columnist on MidlandToday) that all that matters is making money, today, at any cost.

There is no thought to the future, nor what is reasonable, or the will of the constituents, only to their agenda.

Instead of getting it done, they are destroying it.
