NEWS RELEASE
TOWNSHIP OF TINY
*******************************
The Province of Ontario recently unveiled its Guiding Principles to Reopen the Province. Although timelines are still uncertain, the Township of Tiny continues to revise 2020 summer programming in the event that provincial restrictions are lifted.

At this time, summer programming is not permitted to proceed under current provincial restrictions. However, the Township of Tiny is prepared to offer summer child and youth programming if future amendments to the provincial restrictions permit recreational programming to proceed. The safety and well-being of our families and program participants are paramount and will remain the utmost priority when considering programming. Any programs offered to the community will need to comply with provincial orders and public health requirements and standards.

Should recreational programming proceed, the Township of Tiny will offer all program registration with no upfront charge or administrative fees in an effort to alleviate any financial burden placed on parents and families. Customers will be able to register for programs and will not be required to pay for their registrations until two weeks prior to the start date. Program registration fees may also be reduced, passing on savings enjoyed as a result of revised programming models. Program registration dates have yet to be determined.

Staff continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and is committed to adapting programming, events, and initiatives to comply with provincial orders and public health regulations in order to protect its residents, staff, volunteers, and program participants. Please keep in mind that the Township’s preparations for summer programming are tentative and will only proceed once the provincial government and/or health officials have deemed it safe to do so. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in these times of uncertainty.
